When the owners purchased this 1910 farmhouse from an artist and illustrator, it was hard to see how the existing space with sponge painted walls and hand-painted fruit on the backsplash tiles could transform into this contemporary beauty.
The original barn-board wood floors and 3” thick solid fir kitchen counters were stripped down and refinished showing the warmth and character. The main floor was reconfigured to include a full modern bath and laundry open laundry concept finished in grey stained vertical grain oak cabinets.
The upper level also received an overhaul. Large rooms received new built-in closets with frosted glass double doors, additional storage and bright white paint to reflect the natural light through the space. The once worn and bright green washroom was replaced with heated Statuario marble floors, walk-in glass shower and floating wenge vanity and mirror with stainless steel Kohler sink and wall mount faucet.
